The pellicle optical elements from National Photo Color Co. are used primarily in spectroscopic devices as ultra-thin beam splitters, windows, mirrors, and filters, due to their film thickness of a few micrometers, which eliminates secondary reflections, spherical aberrations, chromatic aberrations, and refraction anomalies.
